Dr. Saeed Pahlevansharif Won Best Researcher Award from the Iranian Embassy

Taylor’s Business School senior lecturer, Dr. Saeed Pahlevansharif, did Taylor’s University proud by recently awarded the Best Researcher Award 2017 in Social Science from the Iranian Embassy for his contribution to public health through his researches and methodology.

The Embassy of Iran recently assessed contributions of Iranian researchers in Malaysia and selected 36 research active academicians from different Malaysian universities including Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), University of Malaya (UM), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). From this pool, five researchers were selected for the awards including Taylor’s Dr. Saeed. Presented by the Iranian Ambassador to Malaysia, Mrs. Marzieh Afkham, he was the only one from the Social Science field and from a private university.

Since joining Taylor’s University in (year), Dr. Saeed, an Iranian national, has published around 50 papers in reputable indexed journals on health and cancer patients’ quality of life, women’s body image, social networking sites usage, and consumer behavior.

During the past three years, Dr. Saeed’s research output has been nothing short of remarkable which earned him the Taylor’s University Vice Chancellor’s Research Award in 2017. His current research interests include methodological investigations and applications of psychometrics and statistical modeling in financial planning, health, and consumer behavior.
