Farah Danial, Taylor’s University Mechanical Engineering student, shared her passion for racing, her experience as lead driver and lead engineer for Taylor’s Racing Team (TRT), and aspirations and hope for her future after graduation with Lite FM “Breakfast Champion with Steve & Shaz”. Farah also described the hurdles that she had to go through in terms of her drive to be a woman engineer and to participate in the Formula Student, and how she managed to overcome them. “Hold on to that dream, and go far no matter what, and never give up no matter what happen. Brick walls are there for a reason. Either you go through them, or you let them hold you back,” advised Farah to all women out there who are challenged or are overwhelmed from their decision to be an engineer or to be in racing.

Interview with Professor Dr Hiew Regarding His Views on Cyber-bullying
Coping with cyber bullying – Professor Dr Hiew shares tips on Lite FM In an increasingly digitally connected world, many young netizens have been affected by cyber bullies. In Malaysia, the phenomenon of cyber-bullying is getting rampant – in 2013, a total of 389 cyber-bullying reports were lodged by Internet users to the Cyber999 Help Centre, which is a 55.6% increase from 250 in 2012. In this radio interview, Professor Dr. Hiew Pang Leang, Dean of the School of Computing & IT, comments on this rising issue and how parents can identify if their child is being bullied online. The interview will also provide tips on what parents can do to help their children handle and overcome cyber-bullying.
