Taylor's University Lakeside Campus Wins FIABCI Malaysia Property Award

The award-winning Taylor's University Lakeside Campus has won yet another honour at the FIABCI Malaysia Property Award (MPA) 2013 for the Purpose-Built/ Specialist Project category held in Petaling Jaya recently.

The awards were presented by Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Besar Seri Menanti Tunku Ali Redhauddin Ibni Tuanku Muhriz, accompanied by FIABCI Malaysia president Yeow Thit Sang and organising committee chairman Dr Yu Kee Su. Abby Loy, Executive Director of Taylor's Education Group accepted the award on behalf of Dato' Loy Teik Ngan, Group Chief Executive Officer of Taylor's Education Group.

Recognizing excellence in real estate development, every year FIABCI Malaysia honours developments regardless of size or location, which show superiority in all aspects of their creation. The stringent evaluation process reflects the highest standards of professionalism. This year, there were only 9 winners for the 13 categories contested.

Winners were determined by an independent panel of experts who evaluate the developments in respect to criteria such as design, workmanship, impact on the environment, ease of facilities management, financial viability, marketing strategies, benefit to the community, and lifestyle improvements, a process that took up to eight months to complete.

Touted to be the award in property sector, Taylor's University is the only education institution in Malaysia to receive this prestigious award.

Other winners include St. Jo's by Hunza Properties Bhd for the `Heritage (restoration/conservation)' category, Menara 3 Petronas by KLCC Property Holdings Bhd for the `Office' category and Seri Mont' Kiara by Aseana Properties Ltd and Sunway Palazzio by Sunway Bhd were joint winners for the `Residential (high-rise)' category.

Winners of the Malaysia Property Awards 2013 will compete with projects from other countries at FIABCI International Prix d’Excellence Award 2014 in Luxembourg.
