Taylor’s University Wins Gold for the Fifth Consecutive Year at Putra Brand Awards 2014


For the fifth consecutive year, Taylor’s University bags Gold in the Putra Brand Awards 2014. The announcement was made during the recent award gala dinner held in Petaling Jaya. Taylor’s University is the only Gold award winner in the “Education & Learning” category, and has been so for the past 5 years.

The Putra Brand Awards is a brand valuation award measured by consumer preferences. The annual awards is organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As) and endorsed by the Malaysian External Trade Development Corp (MATRADE). The 2014 Putra Brand Awards winners were chosen via an online survey by 6,000 respondents nationwide making it the largest consumer research sampling of its kind and the most prestigious consumer award in the country.

This recognition certainly speaks volumes of our firm footing in the hearts of many Malaysians, and we are certainly honoured to be awarded the Gold award for the fifth consecutive year and to be inducted as Putra Brand Icon hall of fame since last year,” said Vice Chancellor and President of Taylor’s University, Professor Dato’ Dr. Hassan Said.

“One of our brand’s key success factors is our relentless effort to provide holistic education to our students, ensuring that they leave Taylor’s University equipped to become successful leaders in their chosen fields. Additionally, we have a strong, dynamic and vibrant team at Taylor’s University and winning the award for the fifth consecutive year would not be possible without the unwavering support and commitment from everyone at the University,” added Professor Hassan.
 

The Putra Brand Awards is the only brand awards in the country endorsed by MATRADE, and supported by the Branding Association of Malaysia (BAM), the Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA) and the Media Specialists Association (MSA).

Other awards and recognitions garnered by Taylor’s University in recent years include; “Tier 6: Outstanding” rating in the inaugural D-SETARA rating by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE); the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Award (2013, 2012 and 2011); the ‘Tier 5: Excellent’ rating by the Ministry of Higher Education in the biennial SETARA results by the Ministry of Higher Education for the second consecutive time in 2011; and Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM) Gold Award in Category 5 (Education), to name a few.
